About
An engineering practice for the parts of physical security that no off-the-shelf solution covers.
Who We Are
Vincent Ceyssens, founder and president of Porter Security Programming, began his career as an electrical engineer conducting R&D work for projects supporting the U.S. Department of Energy, where his work contributed to a patented technology, a $3 million government research grant, and multiple awards for research reporting. He later transitioned into the physical security industry, where he ran operations and served as the lead Genetec programming specialist for a national integrator. While working on a complex multi-site Genetec system rebuild, Vincent saw firsthand how a lack of configuration standards and in-house technical expertise could cause security deployments to become difficult to scale, maintain, and operate effectively. That experience led to the founding of Porter Security Programming, with the goal of serving as an in-house engineering and technology resource for organizations operating complex security environments. His work today focuses on security system standardization, advanced Genetec programming, system architecture, technology validation, and aligning security platforms into cohesive operational ecosystems.
